finally found some time to work on the car tonight. going to take a pacesetter header and make it full 2.5" from the collectors to the cat.
first off, made a miter box for the sawzall (never ordered the metal bandsaw, ugh). nobody around here mandrel bends pipe so i'll have to cut the angles and weld them myself. i suppose if that turns out bad, i'll start looking for a distant shop with a mandrel bender
exhaust came off, separated the cat at both ends and replaced the bolts with stainless (expecting to remove them again in the near future). all this to replace these guys.
when i pulled the cast manifold off, it appeared to have a slight leak on cylinder 6. every single stud backed out of the head too, so i got those cleaned and reinstalled.
also got the manifold laid out on pegboard (just an idea to see if it would make fitting the new one up any easier).
thats about it for tonight, progress stopped when my drill battery died as i was drilling the new flange's holes from 7/16 to 1/2 inch to accommodate for the 7/16 studs in the head from Driftmotion.
