so let me start by saying this is my first supra my first 7mgte and the first engine doing any major work on.

traded a 4runner for this supra about 2 months ago it ran pretty good when i first got it i had no problems. on my birthday of all days i hop on the freeway and i start over heating idk if the head gasket was blown since i got it or i did it that day. anways i dont have the kind of money to send it to the mechanic so i gave a call to my uncle the locomotive mechanic and ask to use tools and get some help from him.

long story short hes got all the tools i need but really doesnt know toyotas so i pretty much winged pulling the head to replace the headgasket. I admit i commited to a poject i really dont know shit about and now i know i went about doing it a very complicated way. i got the engine pretty much put back together but there were some hoses and vaccum lines i should have taped and labeled but i didnt.

im having one hell of a hard time figuring out the vaccum on the intake manifold side. i found some diagrams online but there not doing shit for me. anyone out there have any detailed pictures of underneath the intake manifold or possibly maybe i cant meet up with some washington state king county area and check out ur complete 7m and see what i dont have done.

so im not doubting im gonna get flamed for jumping into this with little knowledge or preperation but i need and want my supra back in a hurry so if anyone can help please do so. feel free to ask some questions if i left something out or if i made no sense

Just to give some clarification on the picture up above, the line that goes to no where on the top left of the picture goes to the charcoal canister, the line on the bottom left that goes no where goes under the accordion hose (99% sure, someone correct me if I'm wrong). The dashpot filter (17810A) just hangs freely under the throttle body. 90999-92002 is your vacuum line for your blowoff/bypass valve. Hope this sheds a bit more light on things for you, don't be afraid to ask more questions if you're still unsure about where things are going/routed :).

Just redid my vacuum lines and just wanted to make sure of one thing, you don't need a vacuum line on the end of the dashpot filter correct?

Dashpot should have a vacuum line (2inches long or so) and a filter on the end of the line.

although im not sure it it would effect the car but i do not have the filter or vacuum line anymore it fell off i have been meaning to replace it

That diagram doesn't show the line for the factory BOV at all. It comes off the nipple pointing up on the metal piece that goes under the intake manifold. It then goes up between the pipes of the manifold to a small hard line piece that bolts to the head and then to the hardline that bolts to the front of the 3000 pipe.

Dashpot should have a short hose, then the delay valve, then the filter. To work properly the orientation of the delay valve must be correct.

what kind of issue's would this cause if you don't have it?
