so let me start by saying this is my first supra my first 7mgte and the first engine doing any major work on.
traded a 4runner for this supra about 2 months ago it ran pretty good when i first got it i had no problems. on my birthday of all days i hop on the freeway and i start over heating idk if the head gasket was blown since i got it or i did it that day. anways i dont have the kind of money to send it to the mechanic so i gave a call to my uncle the locomotive mechanic and ask to use tools and get some help from him.
long story short hes got all the tools i need but really doesnt know toyotas so i pretty much winged pulling the head to replace the headgasket. I admit i commited to a poject i really dont know shit about and now i know i went about doing it a very complicated way. i got the engine pretty much put back together but there were some hoses and vaccum lines i should have taped and labeled but i didnt.
im having one hell of a hard time figuring out the vaccum on the intake manifold side. i found some diagrams online but there not doing shit for me. anyone out there have any detailed pictures of underneath the intake manifold or possibly maybe i cant meet up with some washington state king county area and check out ur complete 7m and see what i dont have done.
so im not doubting im gonna get flamed for jumping into this with little knowledge or preperation but i need and want my supra back in a hurry so if anyone can help please do so. feel free to ask some questions if i left something out or if i made no sense
