Major Acceleration Issues

I am having some trouble accelerating.
I just put the motor back together after doing a MHG job. I got rid of the cruise control. After you remove the cruise control, what are you supposed to do with the cruise control cable?
Is it supposed to be connected back to the rest of the throttle linkage or is it supposed to be removed completely.
My gas pedal feels much softer than usual. [Like I'm driving a Honda]:nono:
I notice that the car acceralates very slowly and it really doesn't move after 2500RPM. From 2500 to 3000 RPM, the motor feels like its spinning up, but the car just doesn't want to move. :aigo:
I have a feeling my TPS has failed me. Right now my timing is also off. I really don't know how to set the timing on my car because it works via CPS. I plan on taking it to someone I know who deals with Supra's. He knows how to set timing on the 7M. Any ideas as to what is wrong? :1zhelp:
All help is appreciated.

timing being wrong will kill acceleration...also check your knock sensors were reconnected after your mhg job...

just curious but YOU did the mhg job yourself but you dont know how to set the timing.... i see another thread in your future lol

I know how to do a MHG job. I set the cylinder 1 to TDC/Compression Stroke by lining up the marks on the cam gears marks on the plate behind the cam gears.. The crank was set at 0. I set the CPS into the side of the head and set it at 0.

I did everything following this:

I know everything isn't perfect because putting the belt on without making the cam gears move is damn near impossible.
I just did it so that I could get the car to start and idle.

I'll try and reset the timing. Most likely it'll come out like shit again, but it's worth a try..

My timing was way off at one time. That one time my damn crank pulley seperated (dry rot), so instead of it being at 10TDC, the timing was way off. It only moved a little bit, but you could definately notice the difference in timing.

Later, the motor killed itself. Timing is everything.

TSRM will lead you to the light (timing?) ;)

It's about that time.

Time time time time time....
