The harness for the maft pro I got off a member is hacked apart. Already spent a fair amount of time repairing it and so forth.

From what I understand the AIT and MAP sensors have been cut from the speed density harness. The red, green, and brown wires are straight forward. But the 2 black wires on the harness Im not sure which sensor it goes to.

Also what is a good way to test if the MAP and AIT sensors are actually working?

Thanks,

Chris

I am guessing that you are talking about the two black wires on the six pin connector, one is a ground for the map connector and one is a ground for the AIT connector. Of the two black wires the one in the middle of the connector is for the AIT. I am not two sure how to check the sensors though, sorry.

Im pretty sure I have it all hooked up like that right now (Ill double check) but the MAFT pro doesnt seem to be picking up temperature or the MAP signal?

A little info. This is installed on a pre-89 with MAFT Pro version 5.2. I put in the most up to date quick setup settings.

The sensors like TPS, RPM, AFR and so on are registering correctly. But the car runs absolutly pig rich and wont idle. Its like when you unplug the AFM and try to rev the car up so thats why Im thinking theres a signal issue. Also when I go to the view sensors mode it appears to be getting wierd readings. Air temp stays at 62 deg, MP is at 280 and VF is at 84. <-- this leads me to believe theres something going on.

I'd also check that each sensor is getting the proper voltage. I had to tap into the TPS 5v signal to power my MAP sensor since it was originally getting only 4.x volts and reading incorrect pressure.

^ Ill check that for sure

Is there any special things I need to do besides unplugging the maf and hac sensor under the dash? Apparently others have issues with the car starting and dieing right after.

I checked voltages today and moved to the TPS 5v signal. Theres power at the Map sensor and temp sensor but still nothing has changed running or sensor wise.

Are the 2 black wires in the speed density harness supposed to be putting out 5V also? I checked the output on them and thats what they have. Thought they were supposed to be ground... :S
