best bet to rule out the whole deal is just swap it. there are plenty of people that have stock wastegates laying around. heck i might even have one somewhere. if you cant find one let me know. i'll look around for you.

I think it best to hace a perfectly runnig car before you go changing things then only change one thing at a time...
