No problem. I have extensive background knowledge from tuning on my OBD1 GMs, and with the MAFT-Pro, it's a chance to do some good.

I seriously can not get over how much better my car is running. I'm getting better gas mileage, better throttle response, a hell of a lot more power (anyone remember my original 17.8 second 1/4 mile runs, when I first got the car running all stock?), and she is just a blast to drive. I simply can not wait for spring break, so my 5 speed can go in!

I'll start WOT tuning tonight over @ mkiiitech.com

There is a mode for the V-Out channels that might help the "part throttle, full boost" issue. I think I called it "TPS Enhanced"

The idea is that if MAP > 105, sweep the voltage to max (4 volts I think), otherwise follow the TPS.

So if you are spooling well at part throttle , the ECU will see a WOT signal.

It has not been drive-tested but seemed to work fine on the bench. It might be just the answer...... :joshers:

Another workaround might be to unplug the O2 sensor and default the ECU to open loop. Tune it to run what you want for A/F and use the part throttle tracking feature to control the cruising fuel (with "lean cruise" as well......)

One of the guys on the full throttle board (Rogue_Ant) wrote an excel sheet to take your user tune values, and your VE table and combine them into a new VE table....

I know this thread is kinda old but how exactly do you do this. I make a lot of trips to portland from seattle and would love to have a lean cruise so I can get the most out of my gas when I'm not using it to go fast lol

1. tune the car
2. enable PT AFR tracking
3. set target AFR to something high- 16:1? 17:1?

This is the part that is confusing me.

you say to get a tune in the car first,
THEN enable PTT.

but when i search for a starting point for tunning on fullthrottle tech bob says to start with PTT and tune for Vf first?

As of now i have no adjustments to lo, mid, or high load and have the car in PTT w/ a lean cruise of 16 and vf is at ~1.9-2.1 mid load im around 10-11afr and 13 at cruise. Its just getting confusing being told two things.

If you are tuning with a laptop in the car, and you have an AC adapter that plugs into the power outlet in the car, make sure you unplug this and run the laptop on battery only when you are tuning for idle!

I've found that the intermittent power draws made on the system with the AC adapter plugged in play havoc with the AFR's, vf, etc but only at idle.

When you are driving there's no problem at all with having the adapter plugged in.

I'd love to find out exactly why this happens... maybe something to do with the draw on the alternator being high at a point when it cannot produce much power due to the low rpms.... but wouldn't the battery make up the difference? I dunno...
