MAF

Ok i've checked my codes and I'm poppin code 31 which is maf meter. Basically my car won't idle worth a damn, it goes from a low idle to high and is nice in steady in the way it does it. Also this thing is suckin wind like crazy the whole time and wondering what to do about it. I'm pretty sure I need to replace it, but trying to find out what would be a good maf to go w/. Thanks for the help in advance.

Also I did research nothing i could find on it.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! :biglaugh: good luck, i've been looking for a month now for an AFM they are getting hard to come buy.and i can find them as refurb units from the parts store, but they are $475 with my whole sale price. and list at about $520 ish i do wish you the best of luck tho, not trying to come off as a dick.

Are you talking about a turbo MAF??? You can find them in the for sale section for all different prices. I have seen them for $50 all the way up to $100. I dont know where you are looking for the MAF, but you should look elsewhere.

if you want i just ordered maft pro for my car. when it comes i am taking out my lex afm. if you havent found one by then ill sell you mine. im pretty sure you can use the electronics from the lex housing and put it into your afm. pm me if your interested

No, I believe you can use a LEX housing, and the supra electronics, but not the other way around.
Just buy a MAFT, dude.

It'll work either way. Myself, I'd check the AFM properly and then the wiring since either will cause that code. That is, unless you did something dumb like trying to clean the thing using the wrong stuff.

Yuppers, Brake clean will kill em instantly! I'm currently working with a guy that is an electronics wizz, and might be able to repair the one i have or nurse a ford AFM into the system. will keep updated on this one.

i did the same thing! cleaned it with brake cleaner and next thing you know code 31!!! i've seen a few on ebay and here is a really good site to get toyota parts from www.nix99.com its a toyota wrecking yard in Lynnwood, WA. i already checked on it and they have a few AFM's for $90!
