M3 E36 opinions

Has anyone got any seat-time in a 95-99 BMW M3? (AKA the E36). I've been oggling over the pictures I can find but, since I live in Podunk WI, I have no place near by to see/smell/touch/fondle one.

How do they feel compared to a MKIII? The advertized 0-60 of 5.5 and 1/4 time of 14 has me wanting to drive one...

Driven one arouind the block. 93.

It handles 90000000000x better than a stock MK3. It FEELS faster than allthe Turbo MK3's ive been in but thats because its NA and has constant power.

Its fast, very fast

I've driven my friends '96 many times... I really like it. I wouldn't compare to a MKIII personally, they're very different beasts. The E36 is VERY responsive and handles wonderfully ---> provided it's in good shape.

I drive my mom's 99' E46 actually more than I drive the Supra...and yes, they are very different. The BMW handles better, with MUCH less body roll, and is only a little bit more responsive IMO...The biggest thing though, is the seating position, in the Supra you feel like you're on the floor and the dash is really high, as are the windows, but in the BMW, you feel like you're up against the windshield.

I think I saw a dyno sheet for one and the torque was just about dead flat from 1k to redline.

Don't compare a german shit with Japan high-tekk shit Here in Encino, if I had a M3 noone would even know I have one, cause they all look the same and this styled body is veeery popular here (you can see it on every corner, cause it beat up cheap shit brought from Germany). Okey, but I personally like how it looks, but stil....
But if you roll up here with a supe, different thiiing
That's my opinion on the car overally (I don't care much bout the engine part)

I love how they look, but I love the powerband, look and feel of the supra. I could never go N/A. My boss has a 2004, its alright. I still need to take it for a spin.
