My oil pan has a 12x1.24 plug on the side of it well above the oil line. Can I use this as a drain port? where can I find a fitting with a hose end for that size thread?
-10 is considered to be the standard for the turbo drain. (at least on our cars, but i'm not sure why you'd go smaller on anything else either).
you could cut out the oilpan threads with a hole saw (of course, with the pan removed so you don't get all kinds of metal shavings in your pan), and weld on a -10 bung.
