I have the mkiv tt rims and know I need a 12x1.5. What degree/angle are the lug nuts on our cars? I want to get locking lug nuts (set of 4) and cant seem to find what degree/angle we have. Thanks

We have no degree angle. As you can see on the stock ones, it slides into the rim and locks it like a nut with the washer.

Yeah, but he's talking about MKIV wheels... and IIRC they are different. You must use MKIV lugnuts. Unfortunately that's the only info I can provide.

Our lug nuts will work fine on the MK4 wheels, but the problem is that it is too long and you won't be able to put the covers on.. So if your looking for locking nuts, just get ones that will work for the mk3 but is not too long and should work fine.

aside from the thread pitch there are four basic styles.......acorn (which are tapered at the end), ball style (rounded mostly hondas stock stuff), lug bolt (lots of the euro stuff they are both the stud and the lug nut combined), and flat like the supras that use a washer. Most after market wheels are the acorn or tapered ones. The biggest mistake people make is trying to use the stock lug nuts on aftermarket rims or getting rid of all of the old lugs and trying to use the aftermarket ones on the spare. Its actually pretty dangerous its one of the easiest ways to have a wheel fall off on you along with the spacers people use. I worked at discount tire for a while and you would be suprised at some of the stuff people do. I saw a few cars where people put the doughnut spare on backwards......lol.........and it looked funny as hell like a lowrider gone wrong.
