Hey I have a quick question, anyone know what tools and what size I will need to remove a Lex ls400 afm? Is it metric? will i need sockets or just a wrench?

Thanks in advance, I don't have a lot of tools so i'll need to borrow them and want to make sure I only take what i need.

If its like the SC400, then i think 10mm wrench is all you need, but it will really help to have a 10mm socket with a extension.

Craftsman is FINE, if they break they replace it with no questions asked...

Even snap-on breaks...

Hell, I use Stanley, same warranty (bit of a bitch as you have to ship it to them), and far cheaper price.

Too bad craftsman is junk

Their rachets do make good weapons though let me tell you

The guy's not changing semi tires. He just needs a wrench.

Craftsman is plenty good enough for the average car.

oh and bring a flathead screwdriver... sometimes the afm doesnt want to come off the accordion hose, so it might need a little motivation

I've seen many more Snap-On tools break than Craftsman, though I've been around Snap-On more.

For important stuff like ratchets, wrenches, and sockets, Matco and Mac are definitely the best. For pretty much everything else, Harbor Freight will do :icon_bigg

As for the 10mm's, I suggest a deep 10mm socket. I couldnt easily get the 10s off with a wrench like I could with a deep 10.

I got it off with a 10mm ratchet, wrench would have worked too, oh and pliers to bend the tabs away from the bolts. 50 bucks for the afm not a bad deal.
