Agreed on the 1UZ + twins idea.. Thats the same general idea behind doing a VH45DE and twins in a nissan platformed car, closed deck, forged rods, sodium filled valves, etc. just built for boost it seems..

hhahaha... so has anyone found anything about this swap? anything at all. even a website that has a sentence that consists of ls1 mkIII supra? anyone? i know it's been done. if someone put an ls1 into a civic hatch someone had to have put on into a mkIII supra. lol.

Actually.. They put the civic on the LS1. It was a chopped up vett chassis. They just threw the shell on top.

A friend of a friend put an ls1 into an '89 I believe and fired it up open manifolds at night.. It's on youtube somewhere.

OK
where i'm from a couple of guys had a 89 turbo that blew then they put a old school built 350 into it. it was pretty cool but i don't know how they did it. since they were able to put in the 350 i'm sure you can do it too, it will just take time to figure it out.

I don't see how a 1UZ with twins WOULDN'T fit. I'm sure you'd have to run them up front but that wouldn't be a big deal. What a lot of F-Body guys do for a cheap turbo build is take some really nice flowing headers and put them on backwards, so they face forward. Seems like it'd work in this situation as well.

There was an MkIII with a Gen I 350 in it for sale in Louisville on CL (I think). No pics though =[

I would rather run a single 42r than twins, the mounting would be pretty easy, as would the piping

I disagree with the easy comment. It seems like it'd be pretty difficult to run pipes all the way around the motor to one turbo, compared to two small turbos, one off of either side, through a Y pipe to the intake. Intercooling this setup would suck, unless someone used a small intercooler for each turbo or something. I can't really see a way to make it work
