so i finished the 2jzge-t with 7m ecu and maft pro. got it running well but i drove it for the 1st time today and it started over heat VERY fast. like within 10 min. luckily with my old 7m habit of staring at the temp gauge i caught it and did no harm.
so i did a a few diagnostic tests
compression test: failed horribly
coolent (at this time was only water) was starting to turn brown
oil was looking milky...

was this a bad dream? nope.

then i realized what had happened.

i had the head rebuilt and re surfaced and i didnt check the ra value.. i really should have because it seemed rough to me.. but im my haste to get it running again i just slapped it all back together and hopped for the best.

so as i started to have bad memories of my damned 7m i very quickly decided i wasent going to dick around with this like i did with the 7m. 2 hours later the head was off. dropping it off tomorrow to a DIFFERENT machine shop. i really dont know what the hell i was thinking... i shouldent have just taken that stupid spanglish speaking guys word... and i should have checked my self.

anyways here are some pics from today,

you just need to get a 2" hole saw and go to town... its not to hard if your good with tools. it is kinda hard to get them to clear the ac vents when putting the cluster back in. i did it with no instruction what so ever. just kinda winged it... lol

the surface is A LOT smoother than the last time. last time it didn't even have any shine to it. looks like this machine shop is a lot better. + its only about 10 min away from my house vs. 30-45 min.
