what wrong with just throwing on some lowering springs with out changing the struts? i know it would be better to do both the struts and the springs at the same time but whats it gonna hurt if you just only do the lowering springs? right now i just want to clean up the look of my supra by just droping it with some springs, not gonna be AutoXing/Drifting or Draging any time soon...

You will bounce around like a "jack in the box". It would be the same as riding around with blown shocks. The spring rate will be stiffer, so the dampening of the shocks need to be able to react quicker and stronger. Also the stock shock would probably bottom out, they are not designed to ride that low.

i just want to clean up the look a little, get rid of the truckin' look. eventually, by febuary of next year (hopefully), i'm gonna go full coilover.

i knowi heard of many people in many different cars that just change the spring without changing the dampers and they're fine. my wife's last 95' celica, as a matter of fact, was rolling on eibach sportline springs with stock dampers for 5 years and did just fine.

i was just wondering if there was something special about the A70 because of the TEMS thing, but i guess not.

I have ST springs over the stock struts, w/ TEMS. It's okay.:icon_bigg They've been on there for over a year now, no bouncing or porpoising:aigo:...I would love to put it on some good coilovers, or at least some Tokico Illuminas, but engine mods first!:icon_razz
