funny, i m not really hard headed, i just asked for advice for what coolants do people usually use to lower temp besides going Aluminum radiators. But thanks anyways.

I use Toyota Red coolant, its what the factory puts in Toyota, Also check the clutch fan.

also, going to the track when you have puke problems is not wise

check all your hoses.

do a block test like a good little boy

Toyota "Red" = Toyota Long Life Coolant (not Premixed)
Toyota "Pink" = Toyota Super Long Life Coolant (Premix 50/50 for USA, 55/45 for Canada)

I haven't been able to find exact information on the exact chemical differences between the two, Toyota recommends very different change intervals on the 2 types. The Super Long Life Coolant came into use starting with 08/2003 production. The newest models using it have a first change at 160,000kms, and every 80,000km after that, which is quite high.

I've also found that SLLC tends to seep out of any small leaks much more than the older LLC. Even hoses that didn't leak before on an older car, you'll see coolant getting out of the ends of hoses, etc. It's not really leaking, just making it's way out and leaves you with dried pink in various places.

I do usually use SLLC in my cars though, especially after a fresh rebuild.
