low idle after warmup (600rpm's)

i have noticed lately that my idle seems to be kind of low (600rpm's). I have heard that idle should be higher more like 700 rpm's. is this true? what could cause this low idle and what should i look for? is having a lower idle bad?

The TSRM states that the idle for a warm engine is 650 RPM, if you’re close to that then I wouldn't worry.

... its normally at 600. When i start the car on a cold engine im at like 1200 for a bit.

1200 ish is normal for a cold motor then dropping to 650. it could be lower for a variety of reasons some being completely normal (bigger exhaust, old isc...) as long as its holding idle there and not bobbing or anything i wouldnt worry too much. any codes?

nope, not throwing any codes... well ive never really checked but my check engine light isnt on... (maybe the check engine doesnt have to be on, i donno)
