The funny thing is that I bet HPF gets more new customers from people looking at that myspace page. People who never even heard of HPF will read that and go to their website. That generates sales. He is actually advertising for them for free and doesn't even realize it.

Yup, it will strike an interest in people, they'll go to the site, see a part they've been looking for and want... bingo more sales for HPF.

I'm gonna make an "I hate driftmotion" site:naughty: lol

They arent saying you cant buy great products from them, or your customer service will be bad.

They are saying that they hire people and fire them quicker than mcdonalds. Firing 17 or so people since 2007 (according to that myspace).. is a rediclous amount. But that could be because Torque freaks went bye bye?

What an interesting read...

I have never dealt with them, but seeing that site doesn't make me think i don't want to in the future...

As was pointed out, there is nothing there about products or service, so i can only assume (thanks to everyone's feedback) that both are up to par :)

Torque Freaks has absolutely nothing to do with Horse Power Freaks.

The page has nothing to do with sales... I believe what the attempt of the page is trying to show is basically the whole sweat shop mentality... I personally by reading that review of an employee, probably will not purchase from them. I personally don't care where I buy my shit from as long as to my knowledge it has the following 3 characteristics... if it is lacking in any of them I generally turn my nose...

Great Customer Support (Timely and Efficient Manor, and will spend more for good Support)
Good Prices, or outstanding prices (Will slack on the Customer Support for a good price especially if I don't need the part and I someday get it)
Happy Employees / Good Work Environment, there is no neglect to this in my eyes... if I know a company treats its employees like shit I will not buy from them...

I personally have stopped buying EA Games material because Electronic Arts treats their coders like complete shit, and personally I don't care to support (not saying my 3 game purchases a year run the company) a company that does that. I am not trying to send EA under, but I personally will not give them my hard earned money so they can lather it to their new house/car/boat/gun yada yada yada...

my 2cents

EDIT: A perfect example of the way I shop... Hotshot was going out of business about the time I was in the market for headers for my maxima...$350 for Header/Y-Pipe for my max. I had used Hotshot on my last car and loved them (best things on the market for the 2nd Gen Probes) but I figured something internally was not holding up on hotshots end and I had an O.K experience with them customer support wise, as I purchased the headers used and needed gaskets and they were having problems with people buying cheap SS Autochrome headers which used the same gaskets, and I took a picture and they gave me the gaskets, but it wasn't like top notch service.). Anyway...

So I call up Brian Cattman, owner of Cattman Performance (dealing mostly with the maxima). His headers run $998. I had his exhaust and had dealt with him before and the guy is perfect customer support, answered EVERY question I had. His dyno gains were about that of the Hotshot, except he used Stainless Steel vs Ceramic, and I live in the east coast, so less possible rusting the better...

I spent $600~+ on his headers, mostly because of the support and quality of the product. Unlike Hotshot which was mass produced ect, his were on backorder, and were not as "Cookie Cutter" as hotshot would have them...

All in all I went with the company that fit my little scheme up there...

GREAT, OUTSTANDING Customer Service... Hell his 1st Gen headers he changed companies completely because he was not happy with the batch they made, he manually put them on his 02 Max and was not satisfied...
A lot more expensive, but well I could call him up today, and he would probably remember me..
I know his employees are happy, because well he is a single man buisness, aside from the company actually building the product, which is not branded by his name, but he has been through ALL stages of the production, and I know he is out to help people, not rape them...
