Looking on craigslist for a car, few ?s

OK Im in houston and Im finding REALLY great things, some good early 90s Toyotas or Hondas for $900.

I wanted something to just drive and later have a little fun with. There was one CRX on there for $600 with an SI swapped engine. Any advice on getting a car from here?

Same as any used car.
I'm assuming you know how craigslist functions. Its like an online classifieds, you just contact the owner, decide on the price, and meet them to pick it up and pay. Definately have it checked out by a mechanic first before you buy anything.

yup. that's pretty much how it goes. that's how i found that Mk3 in katy that i didn't end up buying. still kind of upset about it cuz they ended up selling it anyways.

i gotta save up first. i'm aiming to get one sometime next semester whether it be NA or turbo, but it has to be an '89+, a 5-spd, and targa. if not much changes and i can get somewhat of a better job, the target date is sometime in March. Maybe April.

have you tried looking at Celicas for a DD? I'll be getting a '94 GT coupe pretty soon and i really liked it after driving it for about 20 minutes. pretty comfy and it's almost like driving a MK4.....sort of........kinda.......not really......you can find a few on craigslist and autotrader from time to time.

Lookin for a cressida now, but I also now wanna just get a working 7M block to stick in the supra for now to get it back on the road, I miss it bad man... I wouldnt mind a Celica.

running 7m block? hit up Sun's Auto. they're a local shop here in town. www.sunsauto.com

you can also try looking for some Sentras/200SX, 240SX or other misc. cars. it's worth a shot.
