I have a 91 mk3. Has a US 2jzgte and a r154 . Polished ported head, no egr, jdm twins, jdm 440s, walbro 255 inline pump, fpr set to 42 psi and 32 on idle, 2.5" intercooler pipes and intercooler, full 3" exhaust and ttc mode. Its running on a jdm harness and a aristo ecu.

In 3rd gear around 4500rpm I get a pop and keeps poping about 2 more times till 6000 rpm. Does it in 4th gear also. Check engine light comes on and stays on until I turn the car off. Havnt checked for any codes yet. I am pretty much just wondering what should I do to fix or upgrade this. No single for me though. Thanks. I'm also at 15psi steady.
Any input would be appreciated! Thanks.

Could be fuel cut, but seeing the cel doesn't go off it sounds like something else. Possibly detention.

Easiest way to take the guessing game out is check codes, the time you spent posting this you could have had an answer already.

34 is turbo pressure I believe, and the 42 is the speed sensor. Don't worry about the 42, it doesn't effect the performance. I'd worry about the 34, how much boost are you running?

The twins are in ttc mode so there set to 15 psi steady. That's with a boost controlor and I also ran it off the wastegate and stays the same.

Do you get the code without the boost controller? If you do, then there could be something wrong with the map sensor. Also, what are your plugs gapped at?

Yea I do. I guess I get the code because I don't have the rear turbk vsv. But my pluhs are ngk bkr7e's gapped to. 26 or. 28 not sure. I think I need new ones and what is a good gap for bpu?

Typically it's .28 - .26, but if you didn't check the gap before you installed them, that's where I'd start just in case a couple of them are at .35 or something ridiculous.

Same way as on your 7m. Te1 and E1 IIRC... but it looks like you got that figured out already.

Plug gap should be good, but from the sounds of it, you're hitting fuel cut. No doubt in my mind. Story of my life when it gets cold enough. :p

I believe that is where normal fuel cut is on the 1j/2j, but I'm probably wrong. Turns out my problem wasn't fuel cut, it was my plugs as well. Changed them out for fresh ones, and the car is getting upwards of 18psi without interruption... pretty sure I'm on a stock ECU too, I didn't see any evidence of tuning.
