Hello fellow supramaniacs,recently i bought a 1987 Supra turbo wich is my proyect i bought it while im was on leave from iraq,im back on iraq now which as much as i want to start working on the car it gave me 6 months to think things thru and do well thought out decisions for the car and my pockets lol,im goin to rebuild the engine and the turbo, that includes a auto to manual swap,by the reviews i seen here im going for the shafmasters 1 piece aluminium driveshaft thats pretty much decided,now my question is where i can find a good manual tranny kit or even the tranny alone i want quality at a good price what anyone would want ,im new at this so im looking for some sound advice thanks in advance...

no such "kit" that I'm aware of. If you get lucky you'll get a R154 (supra turbo manual trans) for less than $400. Then you'll need a clutch, pedals, lines, the driveshaft, shifter, shift boot, flywheel, support "wings".
You'll also need to do wiring to get the reverse lights and cruise control cut off switch (depressed clutch) to work properly.
All together you're looking at a mininum of $600.
I was one of the lucky ones who got a full swap for about $5-600, but I looked long and hard, and pieced things together.

when i did my auto to 5speed i used a parts car, but if you gotta buy new stuff check out driftmotion. i know they had complete pedal sets, slave cylinders, master cylinders, throw out bearing, and lines on there.
I bought pretty much everything new(besides the pedals, fly wheel and some other odds and ends). Driftmotion has most of the stuff and then the local dealer had the rest. I did go with shaftmasters for the 1 piece drive shaft though.
Geeeez, lol. I bought my 90 parts car with a 7mgte + R154 and entire drivetrain for 200 bucks. Talk about a deal.
I dunno about you, but I'd just buy a parts car for what you need and turn around and part the rest of the poor bastard out. Make some money back.
