So im to be swapping a R-154 5 speed trans in my 89 supra. I want to put in a good clutch that will hold and a light weight flywheel. I was looking on ebay and found this XTD clutch. Yes ive read the sticky on XTD, but i was thinking that maybe it would work for my application, since my soup isl lightly modded? I think ive also heard a combo using a stock new clutch with an upgraded pressure plate? can anyone explain how this setup works?

Im under a budget BTW. So any ideas for a clutch and light weight flywheel without braking the bank? LOL

My Mods:
K&N air intake
10 PSI on stock CT
2.5" hard piping
3" exhaust
and a few other small things.

Thanks

XTD are known scammers, why would you give them ANY business?

Try Driftmotion's Action clutches or get ahold of CKanderson...

....just remember you get what you pay for! Stop looking at fleeBay and PM your needs and budget to a few of our local vendors and see what they can do for you!

Which ever one you decide, just make sure you check the balance before it is installed. I bought a ACT and had to send it back because it had such a heavy spot. I took it off, mounted it to a vise so it could free spin, video taped it and sent it back to ACT. Even with video proof they still denied that there was any problem. However, when I got it back, it had fresh drill/ balancing holes in it and it was in perfect balance.

They claimed there was NO WAY their clutches could be out of balance.... well it was...

Check the balance...
