Tell that guy to NOT use a spinning high speed buffer on your car. I have detailed too many cars. I would only use a buffer, even a nice new foam pad one, if the paint was really shot.
I, on my current car so far have gone over it three times with an orbital type buffer, with a light paint cleaner to remove scratches. I have only just begun to start waxing the car, but I know it won't be swirly. The best guys leave swirl marks, shit, it even happens to me:icon_bigg My point is, one session with a high speed machine, will leave swirl marks, that will take many regular waxings to remove.
