One of my buddys had an Integra GSR with a B18 in it and he ran it too 285,000+miles before someone stole it and stripped the motor and tranny out.

You do have to give Honda credit on the B-series, they hold up strong. The K-series is even better but they have not been out long enough to be mentioned. I bet in 5-10 years we will see a RSX with 1,000,000+ miles on it and still pushing that 200hp out of the little NA 2-liter I4.

Any 4cylinder Honda.
For example, i swaped out a friends 91 integra motor with 397,xxx miles. Still ran good though, had 6 timing belts in its life.

IMHO id say most honda and toyota engines. Most durable and long lasting and economical.

In my experience, my datsun 210 has over 300,000 on it still running strong on original everything. My 5mg still running strong after 240,000.

Along with that most any datsun engine.

Detroit series 60, commonplace to go over 1 million miles
automotive wise id say those diesel benz cars are hard to beat, ive owned a 92 maxima with 312k miles on it and it ran strong still, most hondas and toyotas will go well over 200k.

I'll agree, one out of my fleet hit 1 mill 2,000 before we traded it in. DDS60 used to be good. but my latest fleet is complete crap, the emissions shit is wearing bad. screw J models, shoulda went with D4545 retros.

hell with it warranty still stand for now.

I've seen Detroits go for over 2 mill before tear down.

i love the 22re, i have given my dads 4runner pure hell and so has he. 270,000 mi and running strong.

my dad as an 81 corona he bought for $75, 5 years ago with unknown mileage the odometer has been rolled over. engine runs great, i cant remember if its 22 or 20r.

not engine related but, someone stole that corona and i chased him down with my gs300. needless to say those metal bumpers on that corona totaled my gs.

the te72 corolla from which i use as a forum name had at LEAST rolled over 3 times, and said it had ~25000 miles when i sold it... considering the condition, i'd say it had at least 300k miles. bought it for $350, replaced the water pump, only because the belt either fell off or snapped. i can't remember. then the WP started leaking.

that, and replaced the driver side door with a junkyard one (had no glass when i bought it, and it's kinda hard to live in wyoming without a heater when you have no door window either...

best cheap ass car i've ever owned. never should have sold that thing, it was a royal beast haha...

my 7mge in my 86.5 has 270+ and is still all orginal, even has factory headgasket. the starter and the alternator are the only 2 things that have been changed and those were done within the past few months.....It also burns less than a quart of oil between changes..
