Some OEM Toyota truck studs are a hair longer but it's a lot to spend for an exra 1/4 inch.

Search toyota wheel stud on ebay, I picked up a set and haven't had any troubles, you can get ones that are moe than an inch longer, you will have max thread then, in fact you might need open ended lug nuts if you get ones that are too long

I can't do that, Because I still need to fit my center Caps.

Jeff, Thanks, I'm going to get a price quote for 20 of them in that case

Do you guys know the length of the stock studs by any chance for comparaison? I have some longer studs that came with my H&R spacers, but they don't specify how long they are, and I might use a different spacer after all. I want to make sure how much longer they are compared to the stock. Are studs measured from end to end? or the threaded part?

Thanks

Three turns is not a safe rule of thumb.

The nut needs to screw on the stud at least the same amount as the diameter of the stud. So if you have 12mm studs, it needs to screw on 12mm, or more. If the safety inspectors at any NHRA or SCCA event are doing their job correctly, they will check that. You can't go by turns, because if you have fine threads it will go on a lot less then with coarse threads for a given number of turns.

Are the car studs listed above supposed to have an exact fit. I went to purchase wheels studs for a 97 Landcruiser amd the Knurl size was 14.17...The supra was 14.33mm. Is this difference dangerous?

Also the shoulder length of the Landcruiser was longer. I can't remember th measurement exactly, but it looked 5mm longer. Overall the bolt was 4.5mm longer.

Is this the correct bolt everyone is using?

Cheers,

Matt-
