For the last few days with this unseasonably warm weather i had been having an itch that i just couldn't scratch. I knew my time was coming,but when and where would be the surprise. I proceeded to leave my friends on my way home with an itchy trigger finger. I make my way on to the express way and immediately I'm smitten with these tail lights from the unknown vehicle a couple hundred yards in front of me.Im now pacing the car in front of me, which seems to be pacing the car in front of them. When the strangest thing happened the mystery vehicle suddenly decides to slow way down. I blinker left and pass and this when i get my first glimpse of our contender,a firebird. My interest is now aroused.
I continue at my rate of speed; seemingly ignoring the other car,but patiently waiting for the bite. Suddenly through my bubbled tint in the rear view I seem him running me down. He flys by and gets a few cars ahead of me, so I decided this was the time. I down shifted to 4th and paced him with my nose around his rear quarter panel.Im unsure of my speed but im screaming along in 4th gear at 4000 rpms just waiting for him to take the hit. A few moments pass and hes off. I follow suite but hes quickly out a car on me and my turbo finally comes online.My jt56 is howling now, i proceed to start pulling.I returned his one car lead with one of my own, and then some fuel cut action. I shifted into 5th and Im ony in the throttle for only a few seconds, the deed had been done. From here on out we did some lovely cat n mouse pulls. He would jump n run and i would reel him and put several lengths on'em.We did this for several miles and i passed my main exit so i hit the second one and went about my way :biglaugh:
Mods that matter:
Jt-56 bolt-on (*fuel cut a 14psi it was cold, so i was going light on the trottle to keep around 10psi*)
Rebuilt Motor with Probes,Prepped rods,arps,hks hg /arps,stock rebuilt head
Maft-pro with all the bells and whistles

Dunno, appeared to be a de-baged v-8
