Yeap. But the engines are built with way better valve springs than stock and bigger cams. Like I said, the Honda's ive seen do this will usually rev to 10500 or 11000 rpm, on accident of course. They probably shift at 9000-9500 anyway.

and valve retainers....I wonder if anybody raised the redline on a 7m yet.

That guy more than likely has the new straight cut gearsets in it. Those will allow that to happen. There are kits to help keep that from happening but doesn't completely cover that base.

IJ. buzzed one of his motors to somewhere around 8k rpm if I remember right.
