I've been known to:
-Leave my garage door open
-leave the keys in my STi
-leave the front door unlocked
-leave for a short period of time w/ all three of these

I've only had one 'wtf are these people doing?' moments. People kept driving by, slow, looking into garages, houses, etc, so me and my neighbors were out talking and they drove by and we asked them what they were doing... They were just checking out the neighborhood while they were checking on the progress of their house. Nice people... :biglaugh:

The only thing I dont like about my house is that there's a parking lot behind it, and we're about 4 minutes from the interstate... but that's got nothing to do w/ the cul-de-sac

Never be to comfy, nicer areas are perfect targets. Especially cars. A trick they like to use is to break a shard of porcelin off of standard plugs then use that to smash out windows. It shatters windows completely then they are free to take what they want or maybe even your whole car. People in Texas are generally pretty good people, im not as worried here as i would be in Nevada where they would jack whatever they could if left the chance. I hated living in Reno.
