I'll second Adam's "Edmonton Potholes are the worst in the Canada!" I was up there this last May and holy shit! I've driven better roads in Africa! I was in a rental car and was still afraid of hitting some of them! Where's all that oil money going?

Back on topic I've got some Roh Drift-R 17x8 rims & michelin pilots I would part with for $800, less than 3k miles on them. I'm not positive on weight, but somewhere around 21lbs, lighter than the sawblades but not what I'd call a lightweight wheel. But the Roh's have a great rep down under, and some sort of factory lifetime warranty against bending/breaking (don't know the details).

That is a question that leaves many of us scratching our heads.....

in all seriousness, theres a huge labor shortage so the potholes stay. We had a winter that apparently (I was in Australia...) fluctuated around 0, so our pot holes are now much worse than they have ever been. Thanks global warming!

Adam: I was driving back home in the Ute hit a pothole and the Mirror fell off the windscreen :aigo:

that pothole is a baby by comparison!

Other good light weight wheels are Enkei RPF1s and NT03s.

I have a set of lightweight wheels, but they're a little wider than you're looking. They're BBS race wheels, 17x10.5 and 17x11.5. They have different faces and both weight about 17-17.5 pounds each.

the ROH wheels are nice but are they all 17x8's? i cant decide if i want 17's or if i would be able to use 18's. i found nice 18's and im waiting on some weight specs but i really like having traction.

i was talking to a buddie of mine and he had 18's with BFG drag radials and they didn't hook well, the same car had 17 inch mickey thompson 275 drag radials and would dead hook from 5000rpm clutch dumps with little chirping. its a ls1 with heads cam and 6 speed.

if it'll near dead hook on 275 mickey T DR's on 17's in a manual car, they should definatly hook awesome in my auto with zero drivetrain shock.

it seems noone makes a wheel with the looks of 18's, in a 17, in an acceptable with and in an affordable price range.

Look at the RPF1's. 17x9+35, 17x9.5+38, 17x10+18 all under $300 unless you want the awesome black chrome finish. They're all light, I don't know the exact weights, I thought they were listed on Enkei's site but I don't see them. But I think they're all around 16-18lbs.

not to fond of the style, to plain, i like the 5 spokes with rivets in a polished or hyper silver color.

anyone got and experience with ruff racing 278's? i see a lot of people ask about them but no one knows weight or anything about them.

ok, this is a tad more than a baby (about 2 min from my gf's house - it launched a car ~20 feet)
