i just finished intalling the lexus and 550cc injectors and got my car running but i was wondering what i should set the timing at? im running 16psi on 57trim ct and everything else is stock. should i leave the ignition timing at 10 degrees like stock or can i bump it up a little? i have the boost set at 16 psi and doesnt feel like that much of an improvement over 10psi for some reason. i checked for boost leaks and there were none. it may because im still on the stock exhaust but idk. thanks

You aren't changing much the fact that you are still on the Factory ECU. Running the lex and 550 are just basically compensation for one another. Keep the Ign timing at 10 degree. As for the boost.... you need a free flowing exhaust system. You'll feeling on difference in the power difference is that your exhasut system is limited.

:biglaugh:.......maybe your fingers were going quicker than your brain.

Yz.....leave the timing where it is. There's no sense in tearing up your car for five more horses.

What does your wideband say? You have one right?

You need to supply fuel to a 57trim running 16psi. You need fuel pump upgrade.

oh sorry, i do have a walbro 255 but not a wideband. i looked at the vf's and it was slightly rich under cruise and wot went to full rich.

yea get a wideband and start thinking about some type of piggyback setup so you can get a tune. I'm looking at doing the same thing, and will either go with emanage blue, apexi safc, or a Neo. Mods are great, but they are more like they were intended to be with a proper tune. Another thing is Im sure you are aware that cooler air is more dense, and makes more power..we all know this. It just turned cooler here and my car is already running better, I mean it's surprisingly better. I know if I could get the air/fuel dialed in w a piggyback & tune...then my Supra would perform as it should with my installed mods. Anyone can & should do the same.

Leave timing set per the TSRM. That stock exhaust is REALLY going to choke you at 16psi. The stock exhaust can only flow so much.

Is your J-Tube still in...has it been drilled?

Hopefully you've upgraded your HG or your fun will be over soon.

x3 on getting a wideband!!

Without a wideband this could all be an exercise in doing it right again.

A wideband monitors air fuel ratios.

And yes, it is VERY necessary. What the OP should do is buy one and have the bung welded in to his new exhaust before it is installed.

This is way off topic, but i am running the lex afm but not 550's yet, will this cause car to run rich? Being that they are not compensating each other. I am in the process of doing the fuel upgrades then piggy back as well. Any suggestions on injectors? Any that are just plug and play?

Sorry op

yeah, ur running way lean! but the exhaust is just a 3 inch ddp and ill get the rest made at the muffler shop:nono: but i cant affor a name brand system. as for the wideband i should be alright without it for now because the lex and 550's are supposed to keep it at stock afrs but it can boost higher, if anything i would be rich. i do however need to get a wideband and a piggyback soon to do some street tuning.
