so i recently installed my new RPS 6puck sprung clutch disk. once i had it in, i got a boost leak....no biggie, trace the leak, fix, call it a day. when i started looking i found that the stock intercooler pipe that goes from the turbo to the intercooler cracked. so i ordered the hard pipe from Speed-source.com(great pipe). so i put the pipe on and i start her up and i still have a boost leak. the car only bugs out when it goes under boost which leads me to believe its a boost leak(right?) so....with my being OCD...i take apart the entire air system. every intercooler pipe, the accordian pipe, all those little hose's that connect to the accordian pipe. everybody. still leaking.....the only thing i can think of is the BOV. now, i forgot to mention earlier that i have shimmed the waste gate so i am running higher boost. my car also throws a code 14 once it shuts off from the boost leak. any ideas? was i through enough?

as long as the bov is tight and NOT leaking, your fine as all of the air the bov releases is metered air and wont do a thing.

check your fuel injector o-rings, as those get hard as a rock with age and if there cracked they can leak pretty good.

how many miles are on your engine? rebuild or no?

I have seen a few of the stock plastic pipe that comes through the fender split at the seam. Seems kind of common to me now.

i didnt check the plastic piece....didnt know they break...i will check that tomorrow.

my accordian pipe is new.

every hose on my engine is new. except the intercooler hoses. when i had my engine rebuilt i had EVERY SINGLE HOSE changed from the dealer. injectors were dipped in acid i think to clean them out or something......not to sure....new gasket set, Metal head gasket. ARP EVERYTHING(rods, main, head studs). i cant figure itout for the life of me. maybe my intercooler is leaking? my friend thinks its the blow off valve getting stuck open, and since he built my engine im hoping he is right....so im guna get the BOSCH one that can handle more PSI

dude code 14 is Ignition Signal from the igniter and that alone will cause you car not to start/run. From my understanding about code 14 is that the Igniter tells the coil to fire and gets a confirmation which it send to the ecu Via IGf pin. If the Ecu doesn't receive this confirmation from the igniter it will end fuel delivery. So you have to diagnose that code 14, Yes it's that important.

My friends and I are going thru this horror story of code 14 right now. Read "a ct supra build" in the build threads and you'll see what I'm talking about. or just search for username tbcmorris
