the funny part is, thats a direct in and out swap.
Not really actually. MX chassis are mostly front sump while Supras are mid. You have to modify the oil pickup tube and change the dipstick location ( just ask Mickyg! ). Also, the R154 doesn't fit too well in the tunnel, so you have to bang it out in a few spots. Then the clutch master cylinder needs to be fitted. Unfortunately there is the windshield wiper motor right where the CMC should go. Different people have different solutions for that.
I really like Cressidas, and I damn near sold my Nissan for one to build into a street legal drift car by getting the 7M-GTE swap BAR approved. I may still in the future. Who knows. I really really like those cars. Plus straight six motors give me a huge stiffy.
I agree with JustAnotherVictim, they look a little goofy. I think its because of the ugly front and rear bumpers. Swap the JDM bumpers or throw a nice kit on and wow, you have one super sexy 4 door. Oh man I love 4 doors.
There was a guy at the drift practice I went to last week with a 7M-GTE/R154 swapped MX83. The car was beat to hell, the motor was overheating and barfing coolant, but oh man did it sound and look good! The guy was a good driver as well. Seeing that stoked my fire again for those cars!
