Ehh, I'd still call it defacing govt. issued plates.

It's just not a permanent solution to a temporary problem. (meaning I could always unfold it and avoid having to pay for a new one.)

I wonder of we in cali are allowed to cut up the plate and put it in front like that..

By law, any tampering with the plate, whether it be putting stickers on it, writing on it, or folding it would be defacing the plate and can get you a ticket.
I havent driven with a front plate on my cars since 1989. Ive gotten 3 tickets over that time period but its an easy fix.

Mine is folded to fit better for air flow, and yet not so folded it draws any undue attention from the PD.

Besides, I have the perfect answer for this question I have yet to be asked by the law... "It's bent? Crap who hit me?" Get out and check it out.. Wow, someone must have bumped back into me or something, look how it bent up around the bumper.... LOL

I suppose I never noticed before, thanks for pointing this out, and do I need to file a report for the hit and run where someone bumped my car and did not leave a note?

LOL

Yeah, I seriously considered just taking mine off completely, I took it off to get the frame off, and I loved how it looked. I came very close to leaving it off, but I don't wanna risk the ticket, as it is I drive fast enough that I could get a ticket if I don't keep my eyes open-and even then! Last thing I need is for him to start knockin off more things to bust me for.

I'm sure the cops would get you for folding it, as much as I like the idea.
