Legalize a RHD?

Hey guys, so I am thinking about maybe purchasing a RHD mk3. But I know it can't be Reg'd or Smogged. Does anyone know about out of state reg? Or what's the best way to go about it so I can drive it legally here? The shell with VINs is straight from Japan, so how would that work since the DMV has no record of it anywhere?

Look in my sig block. There is a link in there to a thread where I explained it all to another person that was wanting to import as well. To sum it up, 25 years old or older, or it ain't happening. Doesn't matter what state you try it in. Customs will not let it in the country if it isn't 25 years old or more. You can however go to the other side of the fence and get a Nissan Skyline R33. Those are the only Skyline models that are legal for importation. As far as the Supras go......
