My '89 (NYC) has lots of rust underneath, but it looks like its mostly surface rust which is extremely comforting as I was debating whether to have a shop remove/restore, or entirely give up on the car. The wheel well is a diff. story. Screwdriver poked a hole right through. Your thread is great inspiration to have a shop weld & treat the wells, and I'll see what I can do with the suspension components. Continue the great work, keep us posted, and best of luck on the dyno!!
Folks love to talk about posting pics of "clean" MKIII's.....
The welding was done by my neighbor across the street from me. He is a welder by trade. Hobarts welding school is right down the street from my house and that is where he went. As far as the engine goes the credit goes to Shane. The guy knows his shit when it comes to the Mk3 Supra. If you ever wanted to do some major work to the car it would be worth bringing the car up to ohio. He is great to work with. If you call the guy he answers right away or will call you right back if he doesn't. Which to me is extremely important when some is working on your car. Before I ever mentioned to him about doing a rebuild on my car I would call him 24/7 asking him questions bugging the shit out of him and he would still help me out. This was also before I even knew him. I say this cause A lot of guys who are busy and have shop would not give you the time of day if you were not spending any money. This is just a guy who is good with these cars and loves to help out fellow supra owners. However, he can work on anything.
