ebay is a better place to buy bulbs, i bought #74 bulb for like around 5 bucks for 10 and same goes with the #194 and like 3-10 bucks for x100 single LEDS i think super bright is too expensive.

3mm and so forth are different styles of LED's. Those are just bare LED's. NOT what you want for the dash, unless you plan on re-wiring the entire thing.

You need the 194 and 74 bulbs. Keep searching on superbright.

Check my sig for full instructions. All the info you need is in there. ;)

Mind telling me which style you bought? Their are about 10 different styles it appears, and I want whatever I can get to minimize my hot spots. I'd like to redo my entire dash in blue and white just as you did. And, I'd also like my rheostat to still function as well.

i used 5wleds for the 194's and just a single led 74 type bulb. the 74 is the only problem i have had and i have 74 in every thing else like the key ring and such i think i might have just gotten a bad bulb or something.

How bright is this in person? Can it be controlled from the dimmer or no? I'd want to change out my faded JDM amber for maybe some more vibrant amber or to white like in the thread posted in the page before.

Right on, dude. The 5wleds are excellent. I've had them in my Pickup for several years, and had them in the Supra for a while as well. Check the wire contacts on the ring bulb- they're easy to get pushed aside and not make contact.

I've got red in my dashes, the Supra dash takes to them VERY well. No hot spots, and the dimmer still works perfectly. I love the red, it's not like Pontiac "red" (which is more orange), it's like blood red. I wish I had pics, but my car has been MIA for years now. :nono:

ive taken the bulbs out re ground the sockets to make it fit easier tryied it in 4 diff positions and it still blinks. the bulb fits in there tight.

but if i get what you are saying is push the prongs out more to get more contact right?

the #74 is in my cig light ring/key ring/ glove box/ foot well and this is the only one i have problems with.

next time i feel like removing the gauge cluster i will try that or swapping the bulb holder with another one froma diff cluster that ahve sitting around.
