Leaky Hose?

I see coolant leaking from somewhere back here where I have circled. It is way too cramped for me to get back there and find the culprit. Can anyone help me with this small but pain-in-the-ass problem? I am tired of having to fill up every time I go out.Thanks guys.

Heater hoses maybe? Heater control valve? That's all I can think of that's back there.

don't you just love the heater hose back there... its a bitch but it can be done.

Theis is a 90 degree hose back their. It is on the head and goes to a pipe on the block.

^A very common hose to go bad, and something that needs to be fixed asap!

Can you share details of your 'fix'.

Replace with a new one. Long needle nose pliers, possibly a razor blade (in case of the hose breking and needs to be cut off the fitting), monkey hands, and a sore back= done.

I had paid $11.something for that hose at Toyota.

cut the old one, put the new one one, your done.... its a bitch no wayy round it. getting the new one on is a pita too.. use wheel bearing grease or something to help get it on.

oh yeah i for got to ask. Is the hose on the side of the block or the rear?

^ Its on the side but is curves to the back of the cylinder head.


Also what I was thinking what could also be leeking is their should be a little rubber cap right under that hose. Inspect that as well.
