Long story short. I've been burning oil excessively over the last few months(1qt. every 600 miles) so i decided to get a leakdown test. cyl. 1 had a 25% leakdown coming from intake valve. Obvioulsy, i don't know the true cause of the valve damage.fortunately, 2-6 cyl. were no more than 8%. I was surprised as i thought the problem was most likely the rings(stock internals @ 125k, 25k boosted).
As far as the intake valve, what are some opinions on the best way to solve that(swap head, valve job, etc.)?
It seems that the primary oil leak is at the seal at the center housing assembly as a result of my turbo being clocked to fit new tubular manifold. As far as the leaking turbo, the shop said they can examine it but no guarantee it can be fixed.
My other concern is if i should be worry about damaging the engine any more if i continue to drive the car in vacuum/boost. After changing the plugs, the car seems to drive fine despite this issue. i have another vehicle to drive if need be. thanx for any input
