laptop/pc guru's needed - Stinger set-up

Hey am having trouble getting laptop to recognize the stinger.

how do you change the com ports in Vista? or do they show up as usb ports?

tried already. for some reason without green it won't let me adjust through the stinger software.

if its the stinger is not showing up even with the plug in the correct port try uninstalling the software and reinstalling it.

not having trouble with my xp/laptop just with Jay's vista laptop>

already tried uninstall and reinstall just need to know how to change those settings.

ooo ok. my laptop at the current moment used to be vista but went to xp pro. i used to be able to do it. ill chime in a again if i remember.

in computer managment is where you will change it. It is just like the computer management with XP. I am using comm 3 in my vista laptop for my megasquirt. It wors fine.
