I KNOW there was a thread on this a few months back. I'm not sure if the gy ever finished it, but he definitely had A70 lambo hinges.

My thoughts, despite it looking "ricer", the A70 doors are way to long to open normally. A lambo door makes a lot of sense.

Well my other car look's ricer...nothing I can do about that..LMAO I bought it that way. The guy robbed the hinges to put on a diablo kitcar he was building...so I need some hinges, if he didn't ever go through with it I would buy them... Personally I like the look with the doors, I just dont get the big wings the ricer's put on their cars. Do they not realize that it will actually slow them down? LOL The purpose is down force at high speeds. Most of those guys don't do ANYTHING to their engines, and don't have to worry about their cars going airborne. LMAO

I bought some hinges off eBay, and to get them to fit will require lots of custom modification, brackets, let alone having the hinge pin re-machined to get the slack out of it. I'm 50/50 as to if I want to do it still.

At the end of the day, it's your car, but it's not something I'd do on my car.

I find it hard enough to get into my supra, having a huge ass door looming over my head is unlikely to help matters.

Lambo Doors belong on lambos IMO. lol

They look cool, but the local guys I know have had problem with their kits. (not sure the brand) they may just be using a crappy brand.

I'm actually kinda considering lambo doors. For one, just to annoy my boss, and second when parked it tight quarters i think they'd work better to get out

IMO the MKIII pulls them off pretty damn well. I don't think I'd ever get them personally just because they seem less practical though.

Koenigsegg doors will smack the front on curbs, only issue with em...

some of the newer kits DO go completely verticle, but it's a hell of a lot of work.

it's not just the mechanics, but you have to lengthen the wiring harness for the door,a nd have some way to keep it out of the way, ect...

i really like the idea, but as some others have said, they require a fk load of time, work and money which i just don't have at the moment... Definitely something i would do if i won the lotto, or if i get my huge-ass bonus next year :)
