wut color you going w/ your interior black on green mica would look sick.

http://www.parasolinc.com/

Find someone w/ a good paint gun and either buy the pints, or get the aerosols and tape up your garage for a make shift paint booth.

Just make sure everything is CLEAN and go over it with a shit ton of degreeser and water/alcohol to avoid any static cling for the dust after you hose down the floor.

Black/green mica is corrrect!

It's going to be hot.

So, all that is to be used with spray guns? Know of anything cheaper that doesn't require spray guns?

Spray guns are fun! I have a cheapo gun unfortunitely... but you can get pretty nice hvlp or lvlp's from harbor freight for cheap. My air compressor shouldn't have any problem keeping up, i plan to paint my car with it eventually!

kyle that is the LEAST i would do for something that is going to be rubbed on scratched and baked in an oven of a car on hot days and be frozen in an incubated state in the winter. Ya want professional quality work you gotta put in the effort and do what they do otherwise your going to end up w/ a honda boy hack job with the red cracking and peeling its way to the surface.

you can do it w/ aerosol cans but its harder to get a smooth even coat, its like trying to color in a sheet of paper w/ a crayon, no matter what you do it wont be an even distribution of color.

Even if you went to maaco, w/ $1-200 provide them the pint or two of paint and your set.

Or if you do it on your own the aerosol cans will work because the biggest peice is your dash, but to do the work is not hard. looks like your car is parked up against a small shed, clear out the stuff in the middle for 2 days, buy a roll of 3m plastic sheet for $10, a roll of painters tape $10, garden hose w/ water for 5 cents per gallon, and you've got a spray booth.

or do what i did and find a hookup to let you use their booth. Beer goes a looooooong way.

good info.
thanks Luis. Looks like I either need to mock up something in the garage, or find someone around here that knows someone, or something. haha.

Edit:
Can I used this same stuff to paint my leather/carpet? Or should I be looking at a whole nother can of paint?

I got a little bit done today,
Found the nuts I didn't see the other day when I was trying to get the dash out.
So, got the dash out, and started going at the carpet and removing that. My carpet is still soaked from my leaky master clutch cylinder, that I replaced on Christmas! So, I'm going to dry it out, vacuum that sucker (because it's dirty as all hell as well) and then dye it. As for dying it, anyone got any suggestions, comments on a method for it?
Looks like Tony (Loki2043) will be giving me a hand pulling the engine next Friday if everything goes swimmingly. Then we'll go to the Centrailia meet saturday.

Working on a supra causes testicular atrophy? :aigo:

What does driving it cause? :naughty:

Our carpets are synthetic so "dyeing" it isnt going to be the same as dying say a t-shirt. There simply must be a good product on the market for it, but I dont of one off the top of my head. additional issues are that the dye is likely to want to rub off with use. Why dont you just buy a new carpet set? They really arent that expensive. And once you put in new carpet the whole interior will appear in much better condition.

Driving it causes BHG and rod knock and a big dent in your wallet :biglaugh:

As for the carpet, I know I've seen someone post up somewhere about buying carpets from some place online, but the thing is, I just need need the front, not the hatch area part. I'm going to be modifying everything from the seats back.
