So,
I figured I might as well start one now,
show some of the progress I've done with my car,
and my upcoming plans with my HG and upgrades.

Current mods:
60-1 CT26 at ~9psi
Full custom 3in exhaust from the DP, 1 cat, megan muffler
Greddy type S BOV
JDM motor, has around 40k on it right now
Stripped rear interior, relocated battery to back (3300 pounds w/o driver)
Aftermarket boost gauge and water/coolant temp gauge ghetto mounted
blue/green gauges with switch and brightness control
HKS turbo timer
excedy stage 1 clutch
Sawblades painted gunmetal, wrapped with Kuhmo Ecsta Supra tires all around, 225's.

Mods to come for the build:
MHG
ARP rods or bolts
CSF radiator
hard IC piping, and possibly upgraded intercooler
Lexus V8 AFM
RC 550's
Mk4 supra TT fuel pump
Battery box and killswitch for the drags this spring/summer
and hopefully carpet in the rear and move my sub and amp to the trunk.

Here's the pictures I believe the first or second day I got the car, weather wasn't too great, but I wanted some pictures.
p426853_1.jpg

The front end used to look so nice... (explanation will be in the post later...)
p426853_2.jpg

So, these pictures were a couple weeks after I got the car, I'll dig up the ones I took when I first got it. I bought the car in March, i think the middle of march, and these pictures here are from april 4th. I believe these pictures predate my rodknock on the engine I had in there.

Not too long after this picture was taken,
I defferred a speeding ticket I had gotten in the van I used to drive prior to the supra (supercharged previa :)) and I went over to my friends house the pictures were taken at above, and I got a ticket for not signaling at a stop sign, not like a week after defferring the speeding ticket.
After that, things continued down hill,
I believe I ran the engine dry of oil, causing rodknock, as I wasn't too aware of needing to check the oil often, or the fact it had an oil leak...
I considered selling it, even put up an ad on craigslist, but in the end, I knew I wouldn't be able to get the money I had paid for it back, nowhere even near. So we had towed it to a shop near my house and I had gotten a price quote of like over 3 grand to do the swap and I said efffffffff that. So we went to tow the car to my mechanic's. When I get there, I'm looking at my car, and what do I see? A good fist sized dent in my passenger side rear quarter, ride before my door. (Also note the shitty paint job, not even a year old there I don't think, chippin a lot)
p426853_7.jpg

So I borrowed some money from my parents and went ahead and got a new engine, had my mechanic (Eddie M, old school yota kid dunno if anyone on here knows him...he also owned the car before my buddy who I bought it from) put it in in just 3 days. I had the 800 bucks for the JDM motor and borrowed the rest from my parents and started to pay them back.
The new engine...

Of course, other things came up. My clutch started to go out around the end of June, my door handle had been broken for a bit now (driver side of course), had starting problems since I got it.
So skip foward to my clutch going out.
I look around on ebay for a good price on a stage 2 or 3 clutch, because I had and have plans of upgrading and figured I'd need a clutch to hold. I found a good XTD stage 2 for 265 shipped to my door. I was really stoked.
Found a shop in my area to do the job for like 300 bucks, cheapest I could find and certainly didn't and still don't have the space or tools to do the job myself.
I drive to the shop with my dad following me on a Sunday night, drop my keys and go home with my dad.
I get a call either monday or tuesday, asking where the clutch is.
I tell them "In the passenger side seat," thinking to myself, how hard is it to miss a big box like that?
His response, "Nope, no clutch, we've looked throughout the car and can't find it anywhere."
I ask them if my subwoofer and everything is still there.
They tell me no, they also tell me papers are all over my floor, all my cds are as well.
So.
My clutch got stolen, subwoofer stolen, and a bunch of burned cd's with like 2 or 3 actual cd's in there. Cd player still there, even had the faceplate.
The funny thing was, the theives left a key in there, with a tag from like a dealership saying what kind of car and everything it was for!
The shop then charges me 350 for a excedy stage 1, and like 300 for labor.
So I go to pick it up the next day,
Waiting for a cop to come so we can file a theft report,
and I'm looking at my front end
and it doesn't look like it did, not one bit.

To top this day off,
the company told us no one that works there had done it.
Even though I parked it facing a curb,
and they reparked it facing a curb...
ON TOP OF THAT
They said they're insurance company or their company couldn't do anything about it.
It's now November, this happened in July, and I still need to fill out the paperwork for the claim, I've just been really lazy/busy/working/school/girlfriend/poopra. Ya know.

More continued on page 2 and 3....

Haha,
No worries.
The luck starts going up a couple months after the clutch thing.
More like a month or so ago from this date.
I'm still only in early July with the story!
haha.

Hey, hows it goin man, i remember seing your car at centralia, i was the white car parked next to you. Im the dude that helped you get your targa off.

Looks like you had some fun after i saw you down there, sorrry to hear you've been having such bad luck with the car but dont worry it will get better. I remember seing your car on craigslist and i was hoping you wouldnt sell it. The TRD badge on your front bumper makes your car more recognizable. Keep us updated man hope to see your car again this next summer.

oh alright!
I don't remember your face too well though...
Where do you live at in Washington?

Yeah, I've had a lot of fun with this car, I love it to death.
The TRD badge is gone now, it started peeling on the edge and I said screw it.

Haha, that sounds kinda like the story of my Supra:

Rear-Ended>Hit in front>Broken into>BHG.

And is that a Single wiper arm? What year is your car?
Haha just wait,
I got rear ended too.

Yeah, that WAS a single wiper arm.
Don't ask me, weight loss, jdm tyte, I don't know, I didn't do it.
There are now 2 wipers arms, and they both have good blades on them now.
it's 1989.
It was hit in the rear driver side quarter before and I'm not sure but the hatch must have been bent in some way, and was replaced with an NA/spoilerless hatch because I remember before my buddy got the car painted, it didn't have a spoiler.

hahaha.
Seriously dude.
I'll continue the story, just wait, there's plenty more to come.
I am certainly never taking my car to a shop again.
I've done the majority of the work myself, with help from fellow supra owners as well.

I'm planning to do a headgasket job in the near future, once I get the radiator, I'm going to start saving/buying parts for it.

edit:
also, as for filing charges, I still need to fill out the paper work for small claims, I finally got around to getting the actual paperwork a couple weeks ago and still haven't filled it out.

So I had a new clutch and was good to go.
Buttttt. My turbo was starting to go out.
So there goes another big chunk of money, and one more thing to set me back on my payments to my parents.
I found a 60-1 ct26 with a t4 center housing on ebay from a company called mike turbo inc.
it was like 750 after shipping and paypal fees, and another 150 for the core exchange (which would be refunded when I sent in my old turbo).
I ordered the turbo.
And waited.
and waited
and waited.
4 weeks.
Then it finally came, after many emails I had sent and several phone calls.
I was so happy.
I posted the pictures on supraforums.
And my heart sank. I was told I had been shipped a ct26 for a mr2. or a celica. or something in the toyota family that wasn't a supra.

And so I sent it back.
Overnight, 118 dollars.
And still didn't get the correct turbo for another couple days.
I waited probably a total of over a month for that.
It was worth it though. Kind of. haha

So that weekend,
A couple of the supra guys came over,
and we installed the sucka.
Dj (DJsupra7 on SF, not sure if he's on here) workin really hard and eying that pizza haha.

Old turbo, note the chips in the blades haha. There was SO much fucking shaft play on that thing.

Dave (lexustech117, massive lurker) telling everyone what to do since he's a "tech" haha

Me, ya know, gettin dirty, workin hard. downpipe or something probably.

Somehow, whenever someone else takes a picture of me working on cars, I end up with a really stupid face. Whatever, old rusty crap turbo. haha.

This is out of place, but deal with it, turbo installed.

The turbo proved to be a good pepsi holder

Mac (wraith+some numbers on SF, i dunno if he's on SM) cutting our sweet rice krispie treat gasket. We broke the other one, and had to improvise.

Semi finished product.

Stainless steel braided lines! Aaron at Rabidchimp.com FTW!

wooooooo. That was a good sight to see. We had i think 5 supra's at my house
