Koyo Radiator R0171 Radiator Cap

I have searched some posts and I am still not clear whether or not the stock OEM 89-92 radiator cap fits on a koyo aluminum radiator. I have an aluminum koyo on order right now and I am wondering if the stock cap fits and if not which radiator cap works the best Koyo, TRD, Greddy or other cap ????

I used the stocker on mine. But it is a good practice to just get a replacment being that they are 5-8 bucks.

Supposedly they use the pre89 cap. All I can tell you is that my cap from my '88 fit perfectly.

I just went and bought a cap from pep boys, its brand new and looks much better than the stock one. It was like 7 dollars.

Is the 87-88 cap quite small? My car came with an older Koyo radiator and the cap/neck on it is much larger than on my new one I just bought. Did they change cap sizes over the years?
