Razoe, your trim on the center piece is the wrong color ;)

haha, I know..

the 86.5 is going to be repainted soon so it didn't matter, and the 89 has a narrow-body center piece, so I was going to sell it at a profit for another JDM center panel and repaint the whole car Lexus IS350 pearl white..

Because those two words are soo hard to understand. God forbid we use the original terminology for the late and early model, it's like we think the car was made by Japanese people... oh wait, it was.

Your right let's all learn japanese to use on this forum because it's the cars native language. We don't want to make the car feel uncomfortable, talking about it when it can't understand. It might think were making fun of it.

I live in America and I don't speak japanese just like many members on this English speaking forum. If you want to ask a question and not get stupid responses, post in a manner/language that people can understand.

Save the riceboy lingo for your group of friends huddled up masterbating to the fast and the furious series. Pre 89 and 89+ is actually less letters and easier to understand.

Btw, age is irrelavant. I'm 22 and feel the same way as the old timers.........

any way the wind blows
actually its used in the Silvia crowd quite often. Like BPU for jellybeaners as well as our own terms like DDP, BHG, and fuckin birdcages (even the word Jellybean itself.)

honestly who cares, you guys are making a big deal out of nothing (both sides of the argument). It's been cleared up and Im pretty sure the OP didnt intend for it to be this way.

Plus this thread pretty much served its purpose.

for real, I used to be a 240 guy so I know all the terminology, then I came to SM where apparently you need a Master's in English and must shun anyone who doesn't understand any other language...

You don't need to have a masters. Just be able to put together coherant sentences that can be understood.

I have herd the term used in the 240SX crowd and frankly it's the same deal. Does it really feel that much cooler/easier to say kouki then to specify a model year?

I hope you're being sarcastic. If not, learn to build your own coherent sentences before telling others to do so.

I've also heard the term used in the 240sx and dorifto communities as well.

it is easier actually. "Coooookie"

never said if it was actually cooler or not and was just messing with IJ when I said so, (I mean come on, who uses "hip" these days. that was the joke) and the OP probably thought he could use it as model year designations, well cause..you can, be it cool or not.
