So what you're saying is that it's good to put baffles around the pickup to trap oil so that it doesn't go flying away from the pickup when making harsh maneuvers? I've seen a similar thing for the LS swapped Miatas... all sorts of fun trap doors to keep oil in a good spot. :)

IIRC, the 1j had something similar to what I've described above... have to see if I have any pictures of it.

I come from a land down under
Yes the Pan I used in the Mk3/LSx had a bolt in baffle kit available so I used that, nothing around for the AWD Pan as it has the axle tube through the middle of it so I had to weld baffles in, Random did much the same and posted pics in members rides ;)

I will have to take a look at the JZ pan when we pull the motor to put it in the widebody car. I'm not real sure if there is a pre-fabbed baffle for the 1j, or if it already has something similar. I wouldn't be surprised to see this car approaching/exceeding 1.0g in lateral acceleration at times, but dry sumping it is a bit out of my range.

Most baffles I've seen have one way trap doors, and triangle-like shapes in them... I'll have to take a look through Random's picture thread again and see if I can learn something. :)
