Knock sensors

so i bought a knock sensor off a guy a while ago cause i was missing one.
Well my car is a pre 89 with the yellow clips and what not. MY stock knock sensor has a yellow plastic part on it, while the one i bought for the missing one is a grey one.
I have a code 52 now and i was wondering if its because of the 2 different color sensors...

Sensors are the same connectors are different.

knock sensor wiring might have got pulled on and broke while changing out the sensor. Its pretty fragile so not hard to do.
