exactly. Fatality is saying that the knocking condition only occurs when the A/C is on. My thoughts are that the the harmonic balancer was damaged from being driven while loose. That's a given. Now after fatality tightens it, he can tighten it just enough to end the chatter. But when the A/C kicks in, the additional load from turning the A/C compressor & a belt that is too tight *might* cause enough undue strain on the drive belt & all pulley's attached to it to loosen the Harmonic Balancer (or even round it out some more).
