so a friend of mine in town has a mustang GT around a 2004 or 5 and he has exhaust, 5 speed, ported, bored, or whatever with bigger injectors. he decided he wanted a taste of toyota apparently. so we started heading out of town onto the highway.. we were going about 35-40mph and i was in 2nd gear. he was beside me we went and i just took off like a rocket pretty well left him in the dust... i got up to about 85-90 and slowed down to about 65 when i was ahead of him.. after a while he cought up and did a fly by so he had it floored and past me as i was just cruzin along.. he got ahead and i then floored it and i started to pull up to him pretty quick even tho he was like 7 cars ahead and was flooring it from along time ago :biglaugh: always great to put mustand owners in their place :evil2: and apprently his car is a mid to low 13 second car. thats the second low 13 second car i'v killed this week!! feels great. i need to go to the track.

my mods,

3in exhaust, no cat. 60-1 custom turbo, hard pipes, boost controler, boost gauge, cold air intake, 255 walbro fuel pump, felpro HG torqued to 70ft.lbs. no A/C blet, lol. some weight reduction...

Supra>mustang>stock prelude.

He may be a low 13 second car, but I'd have to see the slip. Mustangs in general are slow, slow, slow, slow, and did I mention that they are slow. It is good to kill one and congrats to you for doing it.

I will definitely agree to that... Mustangs run like 14.4 with mods...

My car runs better on the highway than the track...............I'm pretty sure this was meant to hurt my feelings, so I'll be in my room crying until Vixen gets home and makes me feel better.

I love Mustangs. They sound so fast and loud...but they're not.
And the owners, 99% of the time, think it's uber fast...

I beat a newer Mustang GT with the 3000GT SL I had! :aigo:

^ Reminds me of racing my dad's Cadillac Allante this weekend in my Eclipse GT. I though for sure I was going to get beat, but I walked away from him :aigo:.

I guess those V8's are weaker than you'd expect. Pretty bad when a near stock V6 beats a near stock V8 that's about 50% larger than the V6.
