Theres a terminator cobra runnin around here. All it has is a smaller pulley on the super charger and a programmer and it put 550 to the wheels. Nice kill

Mr. Fanatic, don't take his remarks to heart. In all honesty they're aren't a large number of us on here that are capable of killing a true 03, 04 cobra. Now there is also a large number of mustang ricers out there that have cobra stickers and or emblems that aren't cobras. If you heard the supercharger then of course you know it's a real cobra. I've raced two cobras before and beat the piss out of them only to find out they were just gt's with fake badges. You can definately notch that one up as a great kill and the z06 vette's as well. You may be over 500rwhp when you get it tuned properly.

havnt heard a cobra before???? jesus, I cant get away from these things out here, they keep picking on me, one stole my lunch monies.... I still havnt been able to get the wedgie out the crack of my A$$... they fight dirty aswell, I dont think I have seen a cobra without full slicks or sticky DR's. Breaking 500rwhp like mentioned before is pullies, uncork the exhaust and tune. I cant stand riding in one though, unlike our supras, you cant tell the cobras Power adder to STFU on the highway. BEEEEZZZZZZZ, we are going 60mph and it sounds like a grounding loop like alternator ripple through the radios speakers, its horrible. Cobras are not for the timid, or the rain either.

Wasn't bashing you at all man...you said you were close to 500hp and you beat him which means he was close to stock...Most likely a CAI and exhaust...maybe a tuner. Or he was in need of the driver mod if he had more done to it. With exhaust and CAI and a tuner he would be close to 470ish.
I wouldn't think he was cammed though...most Cobra guys avoid that because...1st you have to buy 4 of them which is like 1200 and then pay for install. 2nd...the gains are minimal unless you go Stage 3 which is rediculous for a street car. Now when you put an O/R X and High Flow exhaust on a Cobra...it def sounds like a mild cam. And very very loudd.

Very nice. I ran a buddy of mine wiht his 04 a few years back when I had my 2jz on stock twins. Was pretty much neck and neck. I put down 394 whp, and he had exhaust, tune and a 3.0 pulley i think (not the smallest they have). I think he said he put down 420whp or so?

haha ya.. right now im on 93 pump gas at about 20-21psi. When i dyno im going to use race gas and prolly run around 25psi. I hope to dyno at that anyway, we'll see how it goes.

Jay - Just to dip in and second the information...It was certainly a real Cobra. Most definately an 03-04. I'm sure many can agree that one who hasn't been around V8's enough can be fooled by one with an exhaust to sound like it has "cams".
I don't think I'd jump the gun to say it had cams, but it DID have an exhaust.
And judging by all the squeeling coming from under the hood, probably an intake and I'm sure, a stock S/C pulley.
It was NO DOUBT a fast car....but we just happened to be a little bit faster.
Driver mod is very crucial....but when you're just doing a 2nd to 3rd gear pull on an open road,
It's kind of hard of hard to mess that one up (Unless you completely miss your gear).

I remember when my car was still 7m'd and automatic. I was making about 350rwhp at the time and I hadn't had the pleasure of beating a gt with it yet. I was coming through a city and this 1990ish mustang lx 5.0 kept revving at me. It sounded sooooo freaking awesome. I told him that I would gladly race him once we got out of the city limits. Every redlight he keeps taking off like a bat out of hell and barking second with ease. I was seriously scared I was going to get my ass handed to me on a silver platter. We finally got out of the city limits and him and I finally get lined up doing about twenty five mph or somewhere their abouts. I was shaking like a teenager fixing to play with his first boobies. I honk one two.......he takes off.....cheating bastard!!!!! He gets about a car length ahead of me as I punch my foot through the floor board. Turbo spools up and I go by him like he's tied to a tractor. I put probably fifteen car lengths on him by the time I reached a hundred mph. I was extactic to say the least. I slowed way down to see if he wanted to race again. I figures he had to have missed a gear. We're in a 55mph speed zone, (yeah I know I was doing a hundred so bite me) I slowed all the way down to 40 waiting on him to pull back up beside me.........he decides to duck in behind me instead and we're the only two people on the highway.........:evil2:
