I like it.

I am shocked and amazed that I agree with you.

Thank you for your agreement, but I'm not surprised we agreed on this topic.

If nothing else it looks like my brilliance and charisma are doing some good! :biglaugh:

Okay, but in all seriousness a lot would be accomplished to straighten things out if companies would simply respond by not offering their services/products to a state that is simply unreasonable and without any good scientific evidence to support their environmental policies.

The losers in this whole thing are the consumers, because the cost of these silly laws and this lawsuit have to be passed onto us to keep the companies profitable. It's ironic that this class of liberals, who claim to speak for the little guy, end up hurting every little guy who purchases these products (all of us!)

Just like the adaptation of fuel injection, unleaded fuel, airbags, seatbelts, ABS, radios and catalytic converters. All crazy and unlikeable ideas at the time, but now pretty standard.

Good point CSR, but when raw emotion replaces common sense then becoming pretty standard sucks.

Suing companies for producing something society needs and values sucks. Impossible air standards, such as the CARB standards for formaldehyde which say that wood products must emit less formaldehyde than what solid wood naturally emits on its own and a small fraction of what the human body produce suck.

The list goes on and on, so I revert back to saying fuck them if they can't use basic good judgement and base these things on good science. Just quit offering them anything instead of pandering to their stupidity. The beauty is that they might end being shocked back to reality.

I would love to see your solution implemented, and it may happen. Forcing business to meet CARB standards no matter what the cost will drive business out of California in droves! When the jobs leave so will the workers. Califonia will become one great big pre-industrial theme park, and we will get all of their supras for cheap! Sounds like a win-win to me.
